The ALTUS “Flute D’Amour” is a true collector’s instrument.
The Flute D’Amour was a commonly played instrument in the 18th century; the narrow original repertoire originates in that period or is of contemporary origin. The instrument with the extraordinarily silken, smooth and dark sound of a classical alto has been experiencing a comeback since 1960. Projection capacity and response are similar to those of a standard soprano transverse flute; the instrument is easy to play and charms everybody in the audience.
