Trevor Wye

Trevor Wye plays an ALTUS 1507, an ALTUS flûte d’amour and an ALTUS alto flute

I have always been impressed by ALTUS flutes, particularly in regard to the excellent scale. It is an innovative company, always trying to improve, and the results show in their fine range of flutes.

Trevor Wye studied the flute both with Geoffrey Gilbert and Marcel Moyse. He was a freelance orchestral and chamber music player on the London scene for many years and has made several solo recordings. His formative years were influenced by many players and singers, particularly Alfred Deller, Marcel Moyse and William  Bennett. He taught at the Guildhall School of Music, the Royal Northern College of Music and his Flute Studio in Kent. He travels throughout the world giving concerts and master classes including annual appearances in Europe, the USA and Japan. Wye is a founder of  the British Flute Society and was made an  honorary  Fellow of the Royal Northern College of Music.
