World music performer and composer George Makinto (referred to as "Makinto") is truly an international person - speaking German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, mixed African dialects and English. Makinto has been traveling around the world for 15 years sharing his music. A flutist, he also plays piano, and arranges for notable artist Miriam Makeba aka "Mama Africa". He has traveled through over 50 countries making music and integrating the individual styles from different cultures. He has collaborated with many different jazz, gospel, and African musicians.
