Efraín Oscher

Efraín Oscher plays an ALTUS 1607

As a multi-style flautist I need an instrument with a broad palette of sound colors and sounds still allowing for a solid intonation. Playing with a Salsa Band, Tango Ensemble and performing a classical flute recital within one week, ALTUS enables me to express my musical ideas within all ranges of style with beautiful sound and even intonation. For that, I am truely grateful. Efraín was born in Montevideo/Uruguay and grew up in Venezuela. After his studies in flute at the  Conservatorio de Música Carabobo in Valencia/Venezuela, he was a member of Orquesta Sinfónica Carabobo and served as Principal flute in the Orquesta Municipal Valencia. He later studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London with William Bennett, from where he graduated in 2003. Efraín was a guest artist at  festivals such as Bath International Music Festival and the English Chamber Orchestra Young Artist Series. Since 2004 he works as flutist, composer and arranger with the group „Bolivar Soloists“ with an emphasis in Latin American chamber music.
